Enough is Enough: A Call for the Immediate Resignation of RFK Jr.

Public health is at stake...

For months, I have been critical of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s appointment as Secretary of Health and Human Services.

To me as a scientist, his track record of spreading misinformation was deeply concerning even before he stepped into public office. But now, he's crossed a line we can no longer ignore.

Last week, Kennedy’s “Make America Healthy Again” commission released a major report filled with citations to scientific studies that simply do not exist. Not just misinterpreted science - these citations were literally fabricated from thin air, apparently generated by AI tools without any verification by Kennedy’s team.

This isn’t just sloppy; it's dangerous.

When the Secretary of Health repeatedly demonstrates a willingness to publish misleading information and relies on completely fabricated data to reinforce his previously held beliefs, it erodes public trust, misguides health policy, and jeopardizes American lives.

We can not trust Secretary Kennedy’s team to be able to provide evidence-based policy if they are unwilling or incapable of reading the scientific literature that they themselves cite.

Today, I am publicly calling for RFK Jr.’s resignation.

While the broad goals of reducing chronic disease and improving the health of children are critical, making up fake data and phony “scientific” reports will not move us toward progress on those fronts; the American people deserve leadership based on real science and rigorous evidence, not debunked theories and AI hallucinations.

I urge you, my readers and viewers, to contact your representatives immediately based on the below instructions. It’s simple.

This is how you make your voice heard. This is how you let them know that evidence-based leadership matters and that it's time for RFK Jr. to step down.
